This podcast is one that could be used in a social studies classroom for education purposes. The students will be able to listen to certain important speeches in American history while learning about them. This is an educational advantage in my opinion. It will engage the students and make them feel like they were actually there in the crowd listening to a JFK speech or some other important speech in history. This podcast is updated regularly with a new speech posted about every week. I do not really see an educational disadvantage to this podcast.

This podcast is offered by a group of people who refer to themselves as Eco Geeks. This would be very useful in a science classroom. It could be used by the teacher as an educational advantage. It would get the students actively involved in the learning process. The teacher could use this podcast for a way to start out each class or use it when there is a topic that the students are talking about. It is very educational and provides the students a first hand look at some aspects they might only read about in textbooks. I do not see any educational disadvantages to this podcast.
This podcast is perfect for young children in elementary school. The teacher could use this podcast as an advantage to the classroom by keeping the children engaged in many different story tales. The children will be excited to hear a new story every time you listen. The educational disadvantage to this podcast would be that most of the stories do not serve an educational purpose. They might teach many morals or just provide a fun story for the young children.
This podcast will be something that the children will enjoy, and it will also teach them valuable information. This podcast is put together by children from an elementary school. Teachers could play this podcast in order to teach the children about different academic subjects. A major educational advantage would be that the children would look forward to hearing this podcast since it is presented by children just like them. It is very educational.
This podcast was made in order to teach kids French. A teacher could use this in her classroom as an extra activity. An educational advantage would be that the children would enjoy learning a new and different language. They would enjoy spending the free time throughout the day listening and learning. An educational disadvantage is that there is no real spot for this podcast in the actual curriculum. It would just have to be used as a side project rather than a part of a lesson that they are learning. It could be used as an advantage though if the teacher was doing a unit plan on France. The students would be able to hear how the French speak and try to speak French themselves.
You list seemingly wonderful podcast sources, but because the Internet addresses are not actively linked, I'm unable to click on them, or anyone else who would be reading your blog. Take advantage of being able use active links, as that provides an uninterrupted continuity in your conversation offered here.
